80th Academy Awards – Final Predictions – Best Actor

1. Leading Actor
Daniel Day-Lewis is THE best character actor out there, and from what I have seen of There Will Be Blood (which isn’t much), he looks like he gave the most haunting and powerful performance of the year. Some say his performance always felt like he was “acting” and it didn’t feel like he was his “character” but always himself saying his lines really well. Bull. A performance does not have to be “under whelmed” to be considered as great acting, and from all the precursors he has won, those in the know agree. Clooney was good enough as Michael Clayton, but he didn’t have much diversity, and is undeserving of a win. Depp was amazing as Sweeney, and I think he would be second in line for the win, if there were any such line. He had the whole “brooding-Goth-singing-psycho” thing to a tee. Viggo and Tommy Lee were nominated, good for them, they are lucky this year’s Best Actor category was weak. I am not belittling their performances, but I have seen way better.
Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis – There Will Be Blood
Special Acknowledgement: Johnny Depp – Sweeney Todd

If only there were a way to go back in time, rig the nominees, and run. Mwahahah.
But I’m torn as to which actress I’d replace Cunt Blandshit with…Amy Adams, most likely, although Helena Bonham Carter/Nicole Kidman would be awesome as well.

Lol! “C*** Blandshit”
I am all for a little rigging every now and then…in my dreams
Amy Adams for shiz. Loved her in Enchanted – cannot wait to hear her sing tomorrow night!

=D I aim to entertain.
Oh yeah, if my dreams could control the awards…well, let’s just say this amazing year would’ve went over a lot more amazingly on January 22nd.
And yay! She’s just brilliant. I love that she’s on the rise even more now. She should be great singing that (wish she was singing both). Even more though, she’s got a great year ahead of her and I can’t wait to see all 3 of her movies ^_^: Doubt, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, and Sunshine Cleaning. Maybe this time, SHE’LL get a nomination for overall achievement.

And entertain you do :)
I am amped for Sunshine Cleaning the most, it sounds so amazing. Miss Petigrew looks like good old-fashioned fun – She will get nominated again and win, you are right. How did she lose Supporting Actress, her performance in Junebug was so good, I thought it was the Best supporting performance of that year, but ne-way.
