Screenplay: Pages of Jennifer’s Body
I was being my usual script whore self, looking for screenplays of upcoming films on Imdb discussion boards, found jack shit, but I came upon a link to a site, Something Awful, which had three pages of the “Jennifer’s Body” screenplay by Diablo Cody. Granted they are ROUGH, and don’t seem to make any sense at all, I was happy to find them. With the coolest little notes. Have a look at the three pages, click the images to enlarge. Chances are that They are fake as hell anyway, but funny too.

I used to read a lot of scripts, and I found a lot of rejected scripts which was fun to read. I especially remember the rejected AVP and Superman script. These days I just watch the movies and hope for the best.

Reading scripts makes me feel so cool, like I know something that nobody else does. I guess that sounds kind of lame because it is so untrue, but it is a fun way to forget about school work ;)

Something about this doesn’t smell right, Nick. I just started reading the first page and rolling my eyes at what looked like Juno 2 (sorry, bud, no hard feelings to you!). Then I started reading the scribbles – they look like what I would have written on there were I trying to make fun of Diablo Cody. Looks like someone is doing that and just taking way too much time to come up with a prank. Maybe not – maybe this is legit, but it’s a little odd if so.

You could very well be right, it could be a complete fake, I wouldn’t be surprised either. I guess they seem very tongue-in-cheek and they could just be poking fun at Diablo. Only time will tell. You could be right. That is all I can say.

Yeah, I read the first page…and it can’t be anything other than a fake. It all reads like a bad “Juno” parody. The Steve McQueen part…the fact that the characters names are Quotey and Braniel…the football phone…

I’ve had a few successful scores on IMDB: There Will Be Blood months before it came out, Grindhouse months before it came out (both parts), The Happening (I’m assuming, being that its not out yet, but it plays like Shymalan), Burn After Reading (again, I’m assuming its real). You take the good with the bad I suppose, though I guess the worst case is a waste of time, and I certainly need no help wasting my time.

I managed to also find the screenplays for Synecdoche, New York and The Pineapple Express – but now I am wondering if they are real or not. Well, they help me pass time, so whatever they turn out to be, I am kept busy.

Ah, I read the Synechdoche, New York script too, and it struck me as being real, if its not, then that writer should make a real go at a career, because what I read was as strong and as moving as anything Kaufman has yet written. Havent found Pineapple.

I have only read a bit of Synecdoche and it does seem quite good. Pineapple seems….I am not too sure.
