Coming Soon: “American Teen”
Not Another Teen Movie: Apparently.
According to /Film the film is great:
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… American Teen is my favorite film of 2008 so far. Jason Reitman was raving about it at Sundance, and two sold out screenings later, I finally got to see it. I’ve seen the movie twice now, and even skipped out on a movie I really wanted to see at South by Southwest just to see this again. It’s just such a wonderful film.”
Not like I get my film advice from the busy folks over at /Film, but the trailer looks great. The film is set for release in the States on July 25 2008, and I have no idea when it is released in SA.
Apparently, ”American Teen” is a documentary that focuses on graduating high school seniors struggling through school and life. Sounds like my kind of film! It looks completely refreshing. Seriously. What do you think?

I couldn’t agree more. I saw this at the Phoenix Film Festival and it was amazing. I thought it did a great job capturing the high school life and it took me back five years (graduated HS in 2003). I really loved this documentary and it was the best film I saw at the festival.
