Oh, we are NOT missing Blindness, okay people?!

    Okay.

“Blindness” looks good, but I’m more excited about “The Argentine” and “Guerilla.”

But a 4 1/2 hour single film with an intermission? Idk how well that will go over. If early buzz is bad, take it with a grain of salt. If it’s good…oh man…

Okay - so we will see them both. We will see it all.

Is it odd that I am really more excited for Synecdoche, New York??????

Well, whatever happens, just do not forget to bring TONS of cash, if we are gonna party, we have to do it in style.

I cannot deal with all work and movies - and NO PLAY *ahem*

    FRICK YEAH!!!

Break out the tequila, we’re gonna get wasted in FRANCE!

    *passes out*

*grabs bottle away from you, and keeps it ALL to myself, all while you are passed out on a cobble stone beach with the sun shining even at night*

Did you hear that? That resounding “dong.” It’s the sound of me needing to get a life.

  6. J.D. said,

“Give me that back!!” the drunk boy screamed groggily only half-conscious, only to fall back onto the ground with a resounding thud.

Nick, out of the kindness of his heart, decides to try to drag me back to the room… but sees some random French celebrity even he can’t remember the name of, and forsakes J.D. to try to get their autograph.

Somebody’s gonna get his ass kicked when I wake up…

LOL, yeah, it was someone I thought was a celebrity - but it turns out everyone here is just SO DAMN GORGEOUS.

So, my bad for leaving you there, but I am sure someone will pick you up and take, um, care of you while I am otherwise occupied.

    My bags are packed.

Nick! Congrats - you’re (quite deservedly) the most ambitious LAMB!

@ Danny - dammit, this comment was in spam, and I am SO sorry.

But- two days left before we jet off and thanks for the link ;)

LOL, yeah, someone better. Maybe if Juli passes by… ;)

    And, dude

    *EXPLODES GIDDILY*

  10. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 5:52 pm

No one is better - just someone a little different, someone I do not already know.

And, NOW WE ARE BOTH LAMMY WINNERS. One day we are both going to rule THE WORLD .

    Ambitious enough?

  11. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 5:54 pm

    Ambitious is a disservice, dude.

We shall control the world soon, bro… very, very soon… ;)

Also, why aren’t you on AIM?

  12. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 5:58 pm

    Awesome ;)

I am actually not home - just taking over someone’s computer - I am supposed to be doing that IT homework, but I have rented “The Lookout” and am reading blogs - if I flunk high-school, I am blaming the film world.

  13. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 6:03 pm

    Ahhh, okay. Gotcha.

And if you flunk high school, you have no one to blame but yourself. Or something. But who cares? It’s only high school. It’s not like it’s vital to every-day life. Calculus schmalculus… And don’t you talk about the film world like that! How dare you bite the hand that feeds you!? But I still like ya, buddy… *whispers* just don’t hide the tequila from me again, okay? */whispers*

And The Lookout is REALLY good too! Joseph Gordon-Levitt is SUCH a good actor, isn’t he?!

    LOL, it’s weird when I feel drunk… ;)

  14. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 6:08 pm

    :)

Yeah, I know - but blaming myself is hard. Especially coz I am sooooo perfect. *hopes the sarcasm is coming across*

I cannot wait to see it, he is great, especially in “Brick.”

Well, to tell the truth, I cannot wait for you to actually BE drunk - I bet you’d be so damn funny. I could make you do tricks, or something.

  15. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 6:13 pm

    *does not detect sarcasm* ;)

And OMG I would be such a depressing drunk. I’d probably be talking about the Holocaust or something while crying over my dead dog. Fun times.

But I would LOVE for you to try and make me roll over while drunk. That’d be a laugh and a half! … What the hell does that even mean, “laugh and a half”? How can you make a half of a laugh and add it to a full-length laugh? IS THIS A PIXAR MOVIE?!?!

    Where am I, mommy???

  16. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 6:24 pm

    :) You are TOO funny.

I would like to find out for myself, thanks, some day, on the riviera, the 14TH OF MAY 2008. We must have arrived really early, the celebs have not even arrived yet. Where are we? We are both drunk, and babbling on forever, but Cannes has not even begun yet….

I second that “mommy” call. I feel so lost.

  17. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 6:31 pm

Where’s Sofia Coppola when you need her?

    *visionary*

  18. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 7:33 pm

OMG yes. More importantly, when is she gonna make a new film?

  19. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 8:34 pm

OMG, seriously! But I’ll wait. She needs time to cultivate something that’ll be worthy to follow the wonderfulness that is The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette

  20. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 8:42 pm

I agree - it is no simple task.

I always forget how great she is, until I remember, and then it hurts.

  21. J.D. said,

    May 10, 2008 at 8:51 pm

She’s, like, Top 3 working directors for me. And one of the only directors where I’ve seen every feature they’ve done, which is impressive.

I LOVE her so frakking much. :)

  22. Nick Plowman said,

    May 10, 2008 at 9:05 pm

    Same. Same. Same.

  24. Craig Kennedy said,

(Waking up next to Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Coppola and an empty bottle of bourbon) Huh…what? What time is it? Did I miss the screening of Synechdoche? (rolling back over, arm around Scarlett, hoping Ryan Reynolds is still locked out…..)

  25. Matthew Lucas said,

    May 11, 2008 at 6:00 am

    Well this post degenerated quickly.

  26. J.D. said,

    May 11, 2008 at 6:36 am

Degeneration is our generation’s secret weapon, Matt.

LET’S GO BEAT UP RYAN REYNOLDS!!!!!

  27. Nick Plowman said,

    May 11, 2008 at 7:09 am

That Ryan Reynolds ain’t got shit on us (except for the looks, the charm and the funny).

  28. Nick Plowman said,

    May 11, 2008 at 7:27 am

Oh - and k, you are in the same boat as me, I am more excited for Synecdoche than anything else!!!

  29. Craig Kennedy said,

    May 11, 2008 at 5:58 pm

Can I be in the Che and Synecdoche boats at the same time?

  30. Nick Plowman said,

    May 11, 2008 at 7:07 pm

You can. My one foot is in the Che boat, but the rest of me in in the Synecdoche boat - what you chose to do with your body is up to you mate!
