Richard Kelly on “S.Darko”
And the award for the most original poster does not go to….
From his very own MySpace blog {coz’ all the, um, cool kids got one, and I constantly quote ‘em} Richard Kelly had the following to say on stuff, and I quote:
“Over the last couple of days, a few people have asked me what’s up with
“this Donnie Darko sequel.”So to set the record straight, here’s a few facts I’d like to share
with you all – I haven’t read this script.
I have absolutely no involvement with this production, nor will I ever
be involved.I have no control over the rights from our original film, and neither I
nor my producing partner Sean McKittrick stand to make any money from this film.”

For the best, I trust.
Still, I’m REALLY hopeful for this.

This must be a little weird for him.

how could he not make any movie ??
i was thinking even if he had no option to stop another movie. he’d at least get something if a film was made/even if he had no involvement. this is too cruel… :(

In other words “FUCK YOU STUDIO JERKS.”
He’s washing his hands of this, he knows it’s a bad idea. Without his involvement, I have even less confidence in this than I already did. Which is zero.

J.D – I am still pretending that I am.
Craig – I bet!
glim – Too cruel! I mean, if they are going to make a sequel, at least give the money something. Evil sucks.
Matt – lol :) And I am super-super glad he is telling the whole world hat it sucks. I think that if Kelly was involved, at least it would not completely suck. {I so need to see Southland Tales…}. However, my interest in this, although me posting about it says the contrary, is zero, or less than, as well. Enjoy “Young@Heart” and “The Visitor.”

Morning!
Me too, which is why I posted it. It does look really fake. I could have done it in Photoshop.

Good morning starshine
The earth says hello
You twinkle above us
We twinkle below
…I’m sorry, what?

Good morning starshine
You lead us along
My love and me as we sing
Our early morning singing song
My God we are odd.

I have, yes.
AND IT’S FUCKED THE FUCK UP.
It’s been over a month since I saw it, and I still don’t know if it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen or the worst.
Or Richard, what have ye wrought on us, the innocents? *cries*

Nick Plowman said,
