On Monday the 26th, Po was in South Africa to promote the “Winter Warmth Campaign” with Gift of the Givers foundation, who assist with various humanitarian campaigns, in a completely selfless and compassionate attempt at providing blankets to under-privileged people, those without the comfort of warm homes in the increasingly cold winter months.

Who better to make people aware of how important kids are in SA, whose needs are often pushed aside for other goals that are often deemed, and inaccurately so, more important, than Po from the upcoming Paramount/DreamWorks animated gem “Kung Fu Panda”? He, with Gift of the Givers, shall be making their way across SA, road trip style, for a goal so vital that I thought I should tell people about it. Bridging the gap between people who need help and those who want to help but don’t know how, I wish Gift of the Givers and Po every success in this endeavour. Last year distributed 100 000 great quality blankets, and I am sure that with a loveable hero like Po at their side, they will distribute tons more this year.

“Kung Fu Panda” opens in the United States on the 6th of June and in South African on the 27th of June, which is when my review will be published.
