Poster: “Burn After Reading”

Apparently, according to everyone, the poster is very Saul Bass, but whatever. Another premiere from Cinematical, there is something strongly defiant about the poster, but I am not too sure where I stand on it. It’s not bad, it’s just…there and I think it will take time for me to like it, even if I am already sold on seeing the film. Who isn’t really?

I agree with J.D
It oozes class. Reminds me of the Vertigo poster.

I love it! I can’t wait for this movie!
I like posters that don’t give away a story but still find a way to build some intrigue.

Holy crap. Anticipation for this is going to blow sky high – I’m so in it’s not even funny.

I guess I am the only person in the world who thinks the poster is just okay, but that’s fine, I am, as everyone else is, incredibly excited to see this. Like insanely.

My reaction was more to the buzz than to the poster itself, but it still looks great…

My reaction is only to the buzz really.
Poster, meh.

Nick, you’re not alone. I think it’s just okay too. It is very Saul Bass–almost a little too Saul Bass, don’t you think? The first film poster I thought of when I looked at it was the poster to Anatomy of a Murder. But like Ibetolis mentioned, it looks a lot more like a Vertigo poster. It looks fine, but it doesn’t feel too original.

Marcy – you have GREAT taste. You are right; it is totally just “okay” for me as well.
K. Bowen – you are so in the majority, which is so not a bad thing. I am just odd.
