‘Gran Torino’ Poster and Releaste Date
Clint Eastwood’s “Gran Torino” has definitely been one of the more elusive films of the year, and in an ironic turn of events since it was thought that the film would probably not be released this year and a ton of ’08 films have moved onto next year’s slate, “Torino” is scheduled for a release in the States on the 17th of December. In the film, Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a racist Korean War vet whose classic automobile gets the tongue of local gangs in Detroit wagging, including one particularly troubled kid who is a part of a family of Hmong immigrants, whom Kowalski despises. While its trailer is reportedly set to premiere this weekend before “Changeling,” its poster has been released, definitely an old school, throwback type “inspired by films before it” poster, and it’s great. This may very well be the last film Eastwood acts in, and he totally looks badass in the poster, so this could be one for the books. I really think it will be. Cant wait for that trailer.

Plain, simple, shows that even at his age Clint is still the man of all men.

If that is not one of the more iconic posters of Clint’s career, I don’t know what is.

I’m digging that just as much as I am the trailer: bad ass amplified.
